На минувшей неделе в городке Сеговия в 90 километрах от Мадрида состоялся этап кубка мира фехтованию на саблях среди юниоров. Успешно выступила Украина в командном первенстве, заняв второе место. Особо приятно, что три из четырех сборниц, а это Александра Бондарь, Дарья Бульба и Софья Полонка, из Николаева.

Еще одна саблистка - Дарья Гонцова воспитанница харьковской школы фехтования.

Наши соотечественницы были сеяными, и начали турнир с четвертьфинала, где сокуршили сборную Сингапура – 45:27. В полуфинале украинки победили сборную Венгрию – 45:38, а в финале проиграли француженкам - 37:45. В итоге поднялись на серебряную ступеньку пьедестала! Этот успех разделяют тренеры медалисток Артем Скороход и Виктор Явкун.

В личном первенстве Александре Бондарь можно сетовать на жребий. В 1/64 финала она победила испанку Марию Кастано Кордеро - 15:5, а в 1/32 финала вышла на американку Хонор Джонсон, первую саблю мирового юниорского рейтинга. В этом равном бою наша землячка уступила - 13:15 и прекратила борьбу за награды. На этой стадии выступала и николаевская саблистка Дарья Бульба. Она выиграла 5 и 6 поединков в групповом турнире, а в 1/32 фианла уступила немке Лене Штемпер – 14:15. Еще две николаевские саблистки София Полонка и Ольга Кивало заняли соответственно 44-е и 85-е места.

Отметим, что 18-летняя Александра Бондарь в заявке на участие во «взрослом» кубка мира, который стартует завтра, 28 января.
